Custom homes
Fully custom means exactly that.
There is no catalog of models to pick from. We build fully custom homes for homeowners in Topeka, Kansas and across our broader service area, with each project developed around the individual client and architectural plans created for them.
The difference
No preset models. No standard packages.
Some builders offer a set of plans to choose from and adjust at the margins. That is not what we do. A Midwest Custom Homes project starts with your property, your priorities, and a design developed for you.
Once plans are developed for the home, we build from them, contributing practical construction input along the way. Any homes, plans, or renderings shown on this website are examples of past or prospective custom work — never selectable models or packages.
What we bring
Builder input that makes plans buildable
Planning and coordination
An organized path from approved plans to a completed home, with schedules, trades, and materials managed deliberately.
Communication throughout
Regular, straightforward updates so you always know where the project stands and what decision is coming next.
Craftsmanship in the details
Framing through finish work: cabinetry, tile, trim, storage, and the details that decide how the home feels.
Custom design examples
Examples and inspiration — not stock plans
Examples of custom design work, including architectural plans developed for individual projects. Every home we build is custom-designed for the client. Nothing shown on this website is a stock plan, package, or selectable home model.

Previous homes can provide inspiration, but every Midwest Custom Homes project is developed around the individual client, their goals, and the way they want to live.
